Terms of use and operational aviation advisory disclaimer.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Preflight Reader mobile application or visiting the andrespollanen.se website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the application or website.

Important Operational Aviation Disclaimer

Preflight Reader is a supplementary software tool developed for personal situational awareness, preflight briefing convenience, and software engineering demonstration. It is NOT an FAA, EASA, or civil aviation authority certified flight instrument or electronic flight bag (EFB) primary navigation source. The pilot-in-command (PIC) retains sole responsibility for verifying all flight calculations, fuel requirements, weight and balance data, and routing against official airline operational flight plans and authoritative state aeronautical publications.

2. Permitted Use & License

Subject to these terms, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Preflight Reader for personal and professional briefing assistance. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the binary application without express written authorization.

3. Accuracy of Data & Third-Party Formats

Preflight Reader extracts and formats information generated by third-party dispatch engines (specifically Flight Keys / Norse Atlantic Airways). While every effort is made to ensure parsing accuracy and algorithmic correctness:

  • Document layouts, revision notices, and dispatch amendments can vary.
  • Calculations must always be cross-checked with the original PDF release prior to departure.
  • We do not warrant that data parsing will be completely uninterrupted or free from format-dependent anomalies.

4. Intellectual Property

All software architecture, source code, visual designs, icons, and text associated with Preflight Reader and andrespollanen.se are the exclusive intellectual property of Andres Pöllänen. All trademarks, airline logos, and flight plan format names (e.g. Flight Keys, Norse Atlantic Airways) belong to their respective trademark holders and are referenced strictly for identification and compatibility purposes.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer, author, or contributors be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of the use, inability to use, or reliance on the software or calculations provided by Preflight Reader.

6. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden and the European Union, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
